cPanel merupakan unix based web hosting control panel yang ditampilkan dalam graphical interface dan automation tools designed untuk mempermudah proses hosting suatu web site.
Selain dalam bentuk GUI interface, cPanel juga mempunyai command line dan API based untuk akses third party software vendors, web hosting organizations, dan developers untuk standar otomasi system administration proses.
cPanel juga di desain untuk fungsi lain seperti pada dedicated server atau virtual private server dan support sistem operasi CentOS, Red Hat Linux, dan FreeBSD.
Application-based support pada cPanel yaitu Apache, PHP, MySQL, Postgres, Perl, Python, and BIND (DNS). Email based support yaitu POP3, IMAP, SMTP services. cPanel jalan pada port 2082, dengan SSL-secured server operating pada port 2083.

Thanks for this article. I’m currently using BlueHost as my web host and so far, they seem to be quite good. I’m not sure, though, what others think about the specifications of the hosting plan they offer, as you could get more from another host.
