Delivery Scam from Tagged Contact

Ini merupakan modus penipuan yang di alami seorang teman yang ada di Malaysia. Penipuan ini berasal dari Tagged Contact yang berlanjut dengan kirim email rayuan dan akhirnya pengiriman hadiah, tapi hadiah tersebut merupakan Delivery Scam

Tagged adalah situs web jejaring sosial yang diluncurkan pada Oktober 2004 dan didirikan oleh entrepreneur Greg Tseng dan Johann Schleier-Smith, keduanya adalah lulusan Harvard.

Situs ini memperbolehkan penggunanya untuk membuat dan mengatur profil, mengirim pesan, meninggalkan komentar, mengirim buletin, pengaturan status, melihat foto, video, bermain permainan, memberikan hadiah, memberi tanda, chat, dan berteman. Berawal menyertakan layanan pihak ketiga widgets, dan YouTube sebagai bagian dari antarmukan grafis situs. Penyertaan lainnya Slide, RockYou, PhotoBucket, Meebo, Razz, dan Jangl. Pada bulan Juli 2008, situs ini mengumumkan bahwa 70 juta pengguna telah mendaftar. (http://id.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tagged.com)

Penipuan dari tagged ini sering terjadi pada laki-laki yang mendapatkan hadiah dari tagged contact wanita. Temanku tersebut mendapat hadiah dari teman tagged nya yang bernama Erica D, asal UK. Seperti biasa setelah perkenalan di tagged, perkenalan dilanjut lewat email. Biasakan, laki-laki kalau lihat wanita cantik pasti gitu …

Hehehehe….. Siapa yang gak tertarik….

Setelah beberapa kali saling kontak email, Erica D mengirimkan hadiah berupa Laptop, handycam, jam tangan dan menyuruh menyimpankan uangnya sebesar USD 100,000 yang nantinya akan dia gunakan membeli rumah di Malaysia.

Beberapa hari kemudian, temanku mendapat telepon dari courtier co. bahwa paket telah tiba dan memiliki beberapa masalah, dan email adalah :

With reference to the delivery of your package, I wish to bring to your attention that your package has been placed on hold by the Malaysian Customs for some reasons which happened to have violated the shipping policies.

As the documents were brought for checking at Malaysian check point before further destination, the Malaysian Customs has detected that, some currency was included in your parcel. Therefore, certain commissions must be paid as Customs duty via us which is for the immediate clearance of your package. For the mean time all tracking information has been witheld, this is in accordance to the mode of operations in the Courier sector for financial delivery. We have already taken order number for this package from the Customs.

You are required to follow all instructions given to you to facilitate the release of your package. Please, be informed that you are to pay the required charges listed below for the immediate release of your package. As soon as we receive confirmation and evidence of payment of the charges below, then we would despatch your package immediately. The expected date and time of departure and delivery will be notified to you the soonest.

yaitu sekitar 19 juta rupiah…

Setelah ku selidiki masalah ini, ternyata banyak complaint masalah ini dan masalah yang serupa dengan ini semua di internet….

Ini peringatan bagi laki-laki yang tidak tahan melihat wanita cantik, sehingga mudah kena penipuan seperti Delivery Scam dari Tagged Contact.

Kita harusnya lebih berhati-hati untuk melayani email-email yang masuk terutama di email kita yang masuk spam.

mungkin koneksi yg anda gunakan lagi bermasalah, atau forum nya sendiri yg lagi bermasalah….
