Compare HTC Desire HD and HTC Desire Z
HTC have recently announced the release of 2 great new mobile phones, the Desire HD and the Desire Z.
If you have used HTC Desire or and heard about its performance, then you will be definitely quite excited to know that the company is churning two new handsets to extend the family. The latest Desire handsets by HTC are called Desire HD and Desire Z. It is great to learn that both the mobile phones will run on arguably the best mobile OS at present, which Android v2.2 (Froyo). One set resembles the genre of tablets and the other is a sliding keyboard handset. Both the handsets are attractive and will find their place in the market.
In terms of looks, both the phones are quite different. Desire Z is a slider with a difference, while HD comes with an insanely large touch screen display. The reason why the slider of the HTC Desire Z is different because it slides slightly upwards and then settles down smoothly, The keys are quite large, which ensures smooth and fast typing. The display size of the phone 3.7 inches and it is an S-LCD capacitive touch screen. It boasts 16 million colours and provides a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels.
On the other hand, the display of HTC Deisre HD is truly impressive. It brings on 4.3 inches S-LCD capacitive touch screen and provides a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. Both the mobile phones include HTC’s updated Sense UI, which will enhance the performance of the handsets.
Desire HD measures 123 x 68 x 11.8 mm and it weighs 164 grams; while the Desire Z measures 119 x 60.4 x 14.2 mm and weighs 180 grams. The later has more weight, but the former consumers more space. However, both the phones are conveniently pocket-able.
The memory support of both the Desires is almost similar. Both Desire Z and Desire HD come with microSD card slot to enhance the storage capacity up to 32 GB. Internal memory 1.5 GB while Desire HD has 768 MB RAM and Desire Z has 512 MB RAM.
In terms of multimedia, Desire HD seems to be a leader, especially because of the camera. The device includes a super cool camera of 8 mega pixel, and Desire Z comes with a 5 mega pixel snapper. The common features of the camera are auto focus, geo tagging and face detection; while HD includes dual LED flash.
Both handsets are expected to arrive by October this year but if you can’t wait that long why not compare HTC mobiles
